The windswept moors of England have been the inspiration for many a spooky mystery story. Tonight, a brother and sister hire a private eye to investigate the disappearance of a relative last known to be hiking near Old Ravenscar. Aside from a mark on a map, their doesn’t seem to be much there. No residences and no stores. Only an ancient church and collapsed manor house greet them. Seems like a long and boring search…until the rain begins to fall.

He has gotten word from an “associate” (recently deceased) that the Carmody brothers, a couple of no-good farmers, have gotten themselves some premium hooch. As a consequence, Mr. McBride is sending some of his most trusted associates to Blackwater Creek, near Dunwitch, to give them an offer they can defiantly refuse – but it won’t be to healthy for them, if you take my meaning.

Amidst the Ancient Trees

Things go from bad to horrifying as a case of an abducted sixteen-year-old girl takes our six intrepid heroes deep into the woods as part of a search party. As the search progresses, more strange things come to light: six college students are also missing along with two hunters, not to mention several disturbing dreams begin to haunt the players. Can they save the girl? For that matter, what's with the explosions? There's a lot more going on here than reservoir research, that's for sure.
